  Introduction to Intarsia Knitting
Intarsia knitting also known as picture knitting, is a technique that often presents itself as too complicated to work. The main skill to develop is to be sure that every time you change color you pick up the new yarn under the just used yarn. That way you will prevent holes forming where the two yarns meet. A little purse is the vehicle we will use to learn how to knit just about any Intarsia design. To insure success, I used a yarn that felts easily. Purse pattern included. Materials, yes, homework, no

Introduction to fair Isle Knitting
Fair Isle Knitting, also known as stranded knitting, produces a thick and warm fabric. One yarn is knit while the other is carried behind the work. The knitter holds one of the yarns the right hand and the other yarn in the left hand. It is more satisfying to knit Fair Isle patterns in the round Therefore the vehicle to learn the technique is a hat. Pattern included.
Materials yes, homework no.
